She is as passionate about creating breakthroughs for clients as she is about being a change agent in the marketing industry. Her client experience includes projects and programs for Fortune 500 and middle market companies, and non-profit organizations. She has concentrated expertise in the marketing of intangibles and services such as financial services, education, technology and the performing arts. Hosfeld has worked in the media and marketing fields since 1981. She began her career as a writer, was an award-winning journalist for a daily newspaper, then a writer and publicist for a Seattle advertising agency. She took a position as Special Projects Consultant in the Seattle office of Ogilvy & Mather/West in 1987, and was promoted to Senior Account Manager, specializing in financial services marketing. Her commitment to sustainability and ethics began with her grounding in journalism ethics, which emphasized service to the community. In 1986 she chaired the National Conference on Communication Ethics for the NFPW, an organization for journalists, pr and marketing communicators. From 2004 to 2005, she worked with the Center for Ethical Leadership to complete and publish the study, “Leadership for Sustainability.” The project gave her additional insight into the challenges that affect business leaders seeking to integrate values into marketing and other aspects of their operations. Hosfeld has served on the Board of Directors for ArtsEdWashington and Annex Theater, and as a committee member of the Board of the Seattle Youth Symphonies. She provides volunteer and pro bono consulting services to a variety of arts and other non-profit organizations. |
